Class Descriptions

GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
*NEW CLASSES

STRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY STRENGHTENING BASED CLASSES

PILATE MAT/CORE CONDITIONING -using lengthening, toning and strengthening exercises based on Pilate technique.  Bring a mat and take your shoes off and get ready to stretch and tone yourself to a new level. Your back and abdominals will thank you.  (Beginner/ Intermediate levels)

SIMPLY STRETCH* - 45 minute total body stretch workout.  Simple easy to follow stretches for over all flexibility.  (All levels)

BODY SCULPTING AND MUSCLE STRENGTHENING BASED CLASSES

BODY PUMP- Body Pump is a 45-60 minute pre-choreographed workout using barbells with adjustable weights. Body Pump strengthens, conditions, tones and defines muscles like nothing else can.  Ideal for beginners’ right through to experienced exercisers.   ( All levels)

CHIZEL* - 60 minute body sculpting class. Concentration on gluts, legs, upper body and abs. This class will push you to the max.  Weights, tubing, balls and other equipment utilized.    (All levels)

SENIOR BASED CLASSES:

LINE DANCING- MARTIAL ARTS/DANCE STUDIO. Come join us and lose weight the fun way. Learn all the latest Line Dances to all kinds of music.

SILVER SNEAKERS I- Muscular strength and range of movement class designed for older adults. Exercises include work for all major muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power.

SILVER SNEAKER II- Cardio circuit class.  Requires experience with exercise activities. Advanced levels of agility, balance, and coordination. Non-impact cardiovascular conditioning class presented in a circuit format with alternating resistance tool work and aerobics presented in a circuit format.

CARDIO INTERVAL BASED CLASSES

STEP- a 60 minute step class where sophisticated choreography and high energy music create a challenging workout for the intermediate to advanced stepper.   (All levels)

DOUBLE STEP/ABS*:   60 minute high intensity step class that will challenge your step abilities. Class choreography will be designed around 2 steps.   AB work included.   (Intermediate/Advanced)

VERTICAL STEP*:   60 minute step class with all choreography taught on a vertical step angle.  Fun and different.  Check
it out.   (Intermediate/Advanced)

STEP INTERVAL*:   A 60 minute high intensity step workout that includes high intensity Cardio Pushes.  Come take the challenge. ( All levels)

CARDIO CAMP – cardio interval circuit class designed to inspire all levels of fitness using a variety of exercise equipment.   (All levels)

SALSA JAM – 45 minute energetic low impact class with various high low moves with a "salsa" twist. (All levels)

LOW IMPACT- a non-impact class designed for beginners to intermediate exercises.  ABS included. (All levels)

CYCLING CLASS

SPINNING – 40-60 minute ride taught within one of the Energy Zones (Endurance, Strength, Interval, Race Day and Recovery).  Each class is taught within a certain Heart Rate parameter and cadence range.  This class will fill the needs of the average cardio exerciser and the triathlete alike.   (All levels)

CORE CONDITIONING & CORE CIRCUIT STRENGTH  CLASSES

AB ATTACK* -    15 minute concentrated core conditioning class.  (All levels)

CORE CONDITIONING* - A total body workout concentrating on core work.  Core Conditioning includes anything from AB work on a stability ball to interval circuit drills outside on the basketball court.  Intermediate/Advance workout. (Intermediate/Advanced)
